The pattern for the verse sounded a little off to me, so I tried G-C-G-G-C-D instead of G-C-D-G-C-G, and it worked out a lot better!

I like to pluck instead of strum. I pluck the C string, then A, then G, then E once per chord

Thanks for the tab, great uke tune but needs tidying up.
Eg: 1st verse, 2nd line, 2nd chord should be D not G; and last line, last chord again should be D not G. Not got beyond that yet…
Much of the verse end chords are incorrect. Where is a G there should be a D. In the chorus, the C may be in the wrong place.
I use the Pattern:
