What version sounds best on a soprano ukulele??
It actually sounds okay in the original key if you leave out the Bm chords completely. I play it like this along with the song and it sounds fine , whether it’s on piano , ukulele or guitar , I’ve tried all ,…..just a little tip if you want .
~M~
if you are an alto like me +5 sounds really good and is easy to play
This is epic.
You don’t really need the Bm chord, and the lyrics are “I’ve gotta get up early tomorrow again” not “I gotta be up early tomorrow again”. But other than that, awesome! thanks for doing this one!
it actually sounds closer to the song if u take out the Bm from the verses
I pluck 3132 throughout the whole song. I leave out the Bm in the verse and do the plucking pattern once on D and G. For the chorus I do it once per chord with the Em and G before and after each line (the only chord I play while singing is the D in the chorus and the G and D in the bridge)
any bm alternatives?
I find that it sounds better if you used:
DDU UDU UD U U U UDU UDU UDU UDU
D Am G
for the intro, verse, and interlude bits. Also during the bridge I change to Am on “want” and the to G on “know” and keep the G for the rest of the line. And for the taxi bit I change to Am on “I’ll” and then to G between “taxi” and “I”.
I love it thaankssssss
Instead of strumming I pluck every string with my thumb and fingers a bit of beat so it still sounds gentle and soft
In my opinion, you don’t need the Am or the Bm chord (in the verses), but you can play it with both if you want to
Hey guys. Even though the Bm chord isn’t really used in this song, i have a helpful tip. If you don’t play the top string and just play the bottom 3 strings, the Bm chord sounds exactly the same.
Also a really good strumming pattern for all songs is DDUUDU
If you struggle with bm chord you can just miss it out
What I’ve been using is DU-U-U-UDU
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
@J.pabon I just do ddu udu but at some bits I change the speed to make it fit 🙂
Does anyone know of a good strumming pattern?
I’m so happy this finally came out! But, I can’t’ help but feel sad after each time I play it.
