I don’t use Ab because there’s such a quick Chang between that and G and it just sounds better with out it.

The Matei

It’s easy to do if you don’t play the G string. It’s like a G-chord shape which you move a fret higher. Tab for Ab -> G:

A|—3—2–
E|—4—3–
C|—3—2–
G|——-0–

TwentyOneJoshDuns

This sounds good and is easy using -2

I like the strumming pattern DD-UU-DU the best!!

this is a lovely song! thanks for posting!

Molly

This is my favorite song, and it sounds incredible on ukulele!

j e d d a

The strumming pattern D-DUDU works pretty good!

Smores38

The strumming pattern that works for me is
DD-DU-D for most of the song and D-DU for when the words are half a measure (Ex: I should have found by now)

((D means strum down , U means strum up))

Delaney10

What’s the strumming pattern?

I really can’t play the b minor chord, barring or not. Is there an alternative for that chord?

tinyelfboy

Use Cm it sounds better and more melodic

Kaspar Czuk

Sorry, there is no good alternative that will sound well. You may be able to mess with the transpositions and use a capo to keep the key. All variations of b chords on ukulele have a bar chord, whether it’s two strings (B) or a across the entire neck (B7). Bar chords on ukulele aren’t too difficult if you just practice and let your fingers callus. I’m sure you can master it!

mediumang

This is probably horrible advice but when i play that chord I just put three fingers down on the three frets in a row and avoid strumming the first string and it sounds fine. maybe not the way it should but its similar enough to not be a noticeable difference in any songs ive played

Skylar

have you tried barring the second fret and putting your ring finger on the fourth fret of the g string?
