I usually play the strumming pattern dd dd uudu dd

  2. Personally, I find the best strum pattern is ddu-dd-ddu-du

    Hope this helps!

  3. Unskilled magician

    I usually do the strum d x ud x uu x d
    Em Am D G

  4. great song.

  5. Sorry for asking about a strum pattern. After I hit “add comment” – I saw the ominous warning NOT to share strum patterns. Sheesh.

  6. What’s a good strum pattern guys?

  7. Twentyonegoofs

This song is so fun to play!

  8. I play C instead of Em and still sounds good

Am7 (open strings) sounds much better than Am.

I am hearing this song for the first time and haven’t played it yet.

The song is written in G using primary chords G,C,D.There are two substitutions, Em=G and Am=C. Pick which one sounds best to you.

An open Am chord (2000) has two A’s. Hannah’s alternate chord (0453) has two G’s. The open C chord (0003) has two C’s.

  12. @mirandalynn the line is actually hip hip not hey hey

  13. the second chord should be an Am7 :)

  14. nashpotatoes

Easy song to play. I suggest putting the capo on the 2nd fret. The Am sounds fine that way.
However, if you want to play without a capo, you could use C in the intro but I would still stick with Am in the verses. Sounds better in the transition. Hope it helps!

  15. lapinapequena

    Thank you. Hannah.

  16. The Am probably sounds wrong because there’s another variation of Am to play that sounds perfect with the song. A string, 3rd fret. E string, 5th fret. C string, 4th fret. Hope that fixes it for you guys!

  17. Guitar player here just started playing the ukulele like 2 days ago haha. Sounds pretty good but like the previous poster said Am doesnt sound quite right. not sure what the chord is called but if you play the Am and C at the same time it sounds about right to me. Gives it a full sound with the high note you here in the original melody. To clarify, G string 2nd fret and the A 3rd string

  18. I personallly like it better to play Em C D G. I think the C sounds much better than the Am

  19. mirandalynn

its hey hey not hip hip
