(Em) go down once

(D) down (stop) down
(G) up down

meme

If your real cool you can do Dx Udux uux udux

Guava

I like the strum pattern of ddu-dd-ddu-dd I think is sound most like the actual song, but don’t @ me =^._.^=

PassionFruit

I do d dud du u dudu for strumming

im better at uke than you

finally someone who’s doing it the same way i am

Saculunch

i like 5+ and using the high Am (3002) and high Dm (5122), but for ease, high D (5222) still sounds good. i don’t know much about music theory but this sounds right in my skullsounds. for strumming, i do (Am)Dx- (Dm)Dx- (G)Dx- (C)U UDU

Saculunch

if you’re real cool you can do it all barred:
Am – 3542
Dm – 5122
G – 2324
C – 3345

but i feel like this sounds too happy

Kwheeler

Guitar player here just started playing the ukulele like 2 days ago haha. Sounds pretty good but like the previous poster said Am doesnt sound quite right. not sure what the chord is called but if you play the Am and C at the same time it sounds about right to me. Gives it a full sound with the high note you here in the original melody. To clarify, G string 2nd fret and the A 3rd string

Tamarindo

I use dx-dx-uuxu-dx for the strumming patern

Don’tputyourrealname

@Kwheeler I totally agree the G 2nd fret and A 3rd fret sounds best. It just feels right, like it completes the harmony or something.

JasLovesLuna

I use the strumming pattern dd udd uu udd ^^’

HayHay

for strumming I use ddu-ddu-ddu-uud and then repeat… lol it sounds good soooo…….

daniellefry26

I find the strum works best:

dd- dd- uudu -dd
(Em) (Am) (D) (G)

then on the the bridge use:
dd- dd
(D) (G)

The last line of the bridge, use the island strum: ddu-udu
