Intro: B Gb7 E B Gb7 B

Verse:
B Gb7
a long long time ago, there was a volcano.
E B Gb7
Living all alone, in the middle of the sea.
B Gb7
He sat high above his bay, watching all the couples play,
E B Gb7
and wishing that, he had someone too.
B Gb7 E
And from his lava came, this song of hope that he sang out-loud everyday,
B Gb7
for years and years.

Chorus:
E B
I have a dream, I hope will come true,
     Gb7 B
that you're here with me and I’m here with you
E B
I wish that the earth, sea, the sky up above
     E Gb7 B
will send me someone to la-va

Verse:
B Gb7
He was singing all alone, turned his lava into stone,
E B Gb7
until he was on the brink of extinction.
B Gb7
But little did he know that living in the sea below
E B Gb7
another volcano was listening to his song.

Verse:
B Gb7
Every day she heard his tune, her lava grew and grew
E B Gb7
because she believed his song was meant for her.
B Gb7
Now she was so ready to meet him above the sea
E B Gb7
as he sang his song of hope for the last time.

Chorus:
E B
I have a dream, I hope will come true,
     Gb7 B
that you're here with me and I’m here with you
E B
I wish that the earth, sea, the sky up above
     E Gb7 B
will send me someone to la-va

Verse:
B Gb7
Rising from the sea below stood a lovely volcano
E B Gb7
looking all around but she could not see him.
B Gb7
He tried to sing to let her know that she was not alone,
    E Gb7 B
but with no lava his song was all done.

Verse:
B Gb7
He filled the sea with his tears watching his dreams disappear
E B Gb7
as she remembered what his song meant to her.
B Gb7
And oh they were so happy to finally meet above the sea
    E Gb7 B
and all together now their lava grew and grew.

Verse:
B Gb7
No longer were they alone with Hawaii as their new home
    E B Gb7
and when you visit them, this is what they sing

Chorus:
E B
I have a dream, I hope will come true,
     Gb7 B
that you're here with me and I’m here with you
E B
I wish that the earth, sea, the sky up above
     E Gb7 B
will send me someone to la-va

  1. Cute song, although, the lyrics are messed up at the end.

  2. Ellielovesuke

    What is the strumming pattern?/:

  3. bookworm116

On the chorus, the last F seems a little wrong. I add a C with the F and it sounds correct. I don’t know if this is an actual chord or not.

  4. Great song easy chords but I can any one help me with tips on how to switch from C to G

    • use your third finger for C and then when you need to switch to G7 slide it up and position your fingers where you normally would

    • When you have your third finger on C, place your second finger where it goes in preparation for G so you remove the third finger you just place it along with your first finger where it needs to go for G. I hope this is helpful!

    • Juanigonzalezc

Since it’s G7, I use my pinky for C, and kind of have the shape of G7 (212-) ready for the switch.

    • Use your middle finger to play c and then move that finger up one fret and then play how ever

  5. I love this song but……
1: the lyrics are messed up and……
2: It does not have ukulele chords at the end of the song where it is meant to say
I lava you, I lava you, I lava you
but I think that was because the lyrics were messed up.
