Verse:
     Eb Cm
I've heard there was a secret chord
     Eb Cm
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
    Ab Bb Eb Bb
But you don't really care for music, do you?

Pre-Chorus:
   Eb Ab Bb
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
    Cm Ab
The minor fall, the major lift
    Bb Gm Cm
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Chorus:
     Ab Cm
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
      Ab Eb-Bb-Eb-Eb
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Verse:
     Eb Cm
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
    Eb Cm
You saw her bathing on the roof
    Ab Bb Eb Bb
Her beauty in the moonlight overthrew you

Pre-Chorus:
    Eb
She tied you
     Ab Bb
To a kitchen chair
    Cm
She broke your throne,
    Ab
she cut your hair
    Bb Gm Cm
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Chorus:
     Ab Cm
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
      Ab Eb-Bb-Eb-Eb
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Verse:
Eb Cm
Maybe I've been here before
  Eb Cm
I know this room, I've walked this floor
  Ab Bb Eb Bb
I used to live alone before I knew you

Pre-Chorus:
     Eb Ab Bb
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Cm Ab
love is not a victory march
       Bb Gm Cm
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

Chorus:
     Ab Cm
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
      Ab Eb-Bb-Eb-Eb
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Verse:
      Eb Cm
There was a time you'd let me know
Eb Cm
What's real and going on below
    Ab Bb Eb Bb
But now you never show it to me do you?

Pre-Chorus:
   Eb Ab Bb
Remember when I moved in you?
    Cm Ab
The holy dark was moving too
    Bb Gm Cm
And every breath we drew was hallelujah

Chorus:
     Ab Cm
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
      Ab Eb-Bb-Eb-Eb
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Verse:
Eb Cm
Maybe there's a God above
    Eb Cm
And all I ever learned from love
    Ab Bb Eb Bb
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you

Pre-Chorus:
     Eb Ab Bb
It's not a cry you can hear at night
     Cm Ab
It's not somebody who's seen the light
       Bb Gm Cm
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

Outro:
Ab Cm
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Ab Eb-Bb
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Ab Cm
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Ab Eb-Bb-Eb
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

  1. I love this song so much but i reather play it on piano

  2. I prefer it at -2. To me, that sounds like a better key if you’re singing it too.

  3. Beebo's Forehead

AM I the only one who instead of singing the actual song, uses this to play the My Chalupa par of Taco Bell Saga by Twenty One Pilots? XD

  4. Thank you for this tab! It’s really simple and sounds just right to me! :D

  5. This is the second song i learn (im just beggining with the ukulele) and i think this song is beautiful.

  6. DDUU sounds really good to me, and the part of the pre-chorus with f and g real close requires a quicker change (like down on F and then up on G), but otherwise it’s real simple and sounds almost exactly like the real thing

  7. What is the strumming supposed to be?

  8. Some people might call a pre-chorus… a… VERSE?!?!

    • No, a pre-chorus and a verse are two different things. A pre-chorus is a part that repeats before the chorus. But I get you might be confused about that ;)

  9. I’m confused how 2 play the song

  10. Happy Customer
