Please do not ask for strumming patterns. Sharing online how to literally play a song (i.e. strumming, rhythm and tempo) is not allowed by the MPA (Music Publishers Association) because of copyright issues.
Carefully listen to the song and try to really "feel" the rhythm. Once you get the basics of strumming, I can assure you it'll go real quick. Maybe the strumming guide can help you on your way.

since when has anyone listened to that? how else is someone on a budget going to learn how to play an instrument?
lmao ok
Janice, this may seem like a shock to you, but people really DO need help playing an instrument. If it destroys how you live your life because someone asked how to strum a ukulele, please, go seek some help, because you clearly have something wrong with your head.
However, Janice is still right. It’s still illegal to share that kind of information on this website and the fact that people need help learning isn’t an excuse. If they would still like to know the strumming pattern, they can just make up their own or listen to the song and try to get close.
You are an idiot stfu
Wow, your fun. I hope you have a good day, doing things besides being rude to someone gently reminding the public of rules. Bye!
Wow, your loads of fun. Have a nice day!
lol
Hi,
Thank you very much for putting on the chords on your website. I am an absolute beginner so I would really like to know the strumming patterns and rhythm and tempo .
With regards,
Anu
It only becomes a problem when people use said strumming patterns/rhythm/tempo and publish that music as their own. You can’t be copyrighted when there are no actions being taken as such… You’re in your own home, for crying out loud.
but seriously, what is the strumming pattern?
but what is the strumming pattern? if you would tell us that would be nice xoxo
Has ANYONE been sued or copyrighted for showing people what kind of strumming pattern is being used? I don’t think so. Why are you even on this website if we can’t learn how to play a song? It’s like saying people will get sued for printing notes for a song on a music sheet that anyone is allowed to use and doesn’t need permission for the owner. In fact, why don’t we just all get copyrighted for using this website?
I use a sort of syncopated strumming pattern rythym wise but the strumming itself I personally do is DUDDUDU
ddu udu
This is my favourite song and it’s great for beginners
WHAT’S THE STRUMMING PATTERN! I was looking for one in the comments but there are so many that I don’t know which one is the right one!
I use DD UDU for this song :)))
Also it sounds a little better with a capo on the 1st fret
Mute-down up – mute – down
the strumming pattern i use is actually legit = dd-d-d-d (the – actually could be up but it’s sound better when muted)
I do… down up down down up down down up down. (dudduddud)
I think it works pretty well for me and I enjoy playing it like that haha.
Dduudu is a great easy strum pattern for beginner-intermediate
The brother iz strum pattern is really nice for this song
(Pick the first string, down up slap down up)
What do I play during the middle part where he goes
“D-d-do do you, but do you, d-d-do
But do you want to come on
Scooch on over closer dear
And I will nibble your ear”
i just played the interlude again like C G Am F to whatever works for your speed and strum
i do DOWN DOWN UP UP DOWN UP. and than try to match to stroke to the rhythm of the song
those are simple chords.
Hey, does anyone know how to make the chords a little easier, like basic chords?
Thank You!
These are the main chords, the beginner ones. The only one that isn’t is the D, and I don’t believe it sounds too different if you just skip over it.
Oh, damn. I hadn’t even realized the chords were different. I use C, G, Am, and F, in that order. It sounds nice with the UDU-mute strumming — I can play the whole song through without the extra chords.
I think that the outro is actually just an A7 chord, which is the same chord you use earlier in the song too.
Down down up up down up 2x on each chord
I use the strum pattern UDU-Mute, and use it four times per chord.
I use the strum pattern UDUDUD and so on
