Intro -x2-: Fm Db Ab

Verse:
Fm Db Ab
Walking down 29th and Park
Fm Db Ab
I saw you in another’s arms
Fm Db Ab
Only a month we’ve been apart
          Fm Db Ab
You look happier
Fm Db Ab
Saw you walk inside a bar
Fm Db Ab
He said something to make you laugh
Fm Db Ab
I saw that both your smiles were twice as wide as ours
               Fm Db Ab
Yeah, you look happier, you do

Pre-Chorus:
Fm Db Ab
Ain’t nobody hurt you like I hurt you
     Fm Db Ab
But ain’t nobody love you like I do
Fm Db Ab
Promise that I will not take it personal, baby
Fm Db Ab
If you’re moving on with someone new

Chorus:
                     Fm Db Ab
Cause baby you look happier, you do
                    Fm Db Ab
My friends told me one day I’d feel it too
                    Fm Db Ab
And until then I'll smile to hide the truth
                  Fm Db Ab
But I know I was happier with you

Verse:
Fm Db Ab
Sat in the corner of the room
Fm Db Ab
Everything’s reminding me of you
Fm Db Ab Fm
Nursing an empty bottle and telling myself you’re happier
Db Ab
Aren’t you?

Pre-Chorus:
Fm Db Ab
Ain’t nobody hurt you like I hurt you
     Fm Db Ab
But ain’t nobody need you like I do
Fm Db Ab
I know that there’s others that deserve you
        Fm Db Ab
But my darling, I am still in love with you

Chorus:
                     Fm Db Ab
But I guess you look happier, you do
                       Fm Db Ab
My friends told me one day I’ll feel it too
                Fm Db Ab
I could try to smile to hide the truth
                 Fm Db Ab
But I know I was happier with you

Interlude -x2-:
Heya heya heya
Fm Db Ab

Outro:
                Fm Db Ab
Baby, you look happier, you do
                     Fm Db Ab
I knew one day you’d fall for someone new
                      Fm Db Ab
But if he breaks your heart like lovers do
                       Fm Db Ab
Just know that I’ll be waiting here for you

I like it as is at first, but I think +2 is really pretty!

I really love this song. I think that it is easy enough for beginners (like me) but complex sounding enough for more advanced players. :)

  3. I love Ed. Sadly, most of his songs are too hard for me….BUT NOT THIS ONE!!!!!!!!! :)

I use DDUUDU and it really works! also for affect sometimes its cool to just do one strum for each chord. ;)

I love Ed Sheerans songs, especially on a he ukulele. The strumming pattern I use is, DDU-DDU-DDU-UDU

  6. the second verse is great if you only play one strum on each chord until ” you’re happier aren’t you”

  20. Hi, I’d just like to say that I prefer the sound of the -5 chords versus the 0 ones, and they are super easy too. That’s just my opinion, though. :)
