Intro -x2-: Bbm Gb Db

Bbm Gb Db
Walking down 29th and Park
Bbm Gb Db
I saw you in another’s arms
Bbm Gb Db
Only a month we’ve been apart
          Bbm Gb Db
You look happier
Bbm Gb Db
Saw you walk inside a bar
Bbm Gb Db
He said something to make you laugh
Bbm Gb Db
I saw that both your smiles were twice as wide as ours
               Bbm Gb Db
Yeah, you look happier, you do

Bbm Gb Db
Ain’t nobody hurt you like I hurt you
     Bbm Gb Db
But ain’t nobody love you like I do
Bbm Gb Db
Promise that I will not take it personal, baby
Bbm Gb Db
If you’re moving on with someone new

                     Bbm Gb Db
Cause baby you look happier, you do
                    Bbm Gb Db
My friends told me one day I’d feel it too
                    Bbm Gb Db
And until then I'll smile to hide the truth
                  Bbm Gb Db
But I know I was happier with you

Bbm Gb Db
Sat in the corner of the room
Bbm Gb Db
Everything’s reminding me of you
Bbm Gb Db Bbm
Nursing an empty bottle and telling myself you’re happier
Gb Db
Aren’t you?

Bbm Gb Db
Ain’t nobody hurt you like I hurt you
     Bbm Gb Db
But ain’t nobody need you like I do
Bbm Gb Db
I know that there’s others that deserve you
        Bbm Gb Db
But my darling, I am still in love with you

                     Bbm Gb Db
But I guess you look happier, you do
                       Bbm Gb Db
My friends told me one day I’ll feel it too
                Bbm Gb Db
I could try to smile to hide the truth
                 Bbm Gb Db
But I know I was happier with you

Interlude -x2-:
Heya heya heya
Bbm Gb Db

                Bbm Gb Db
Baby, you look happier, you do
                     Bbm Gb Db
I knew one day you’d fall for someone new
                      Bbm Gb Db
But if he breaks your heart like lovers do
                       Bbm Gb Db
Just know that I’ll be waiting here for you

  1. I strum once for each chord cuz nothing else works for me and it still sounds good

  2. For strumming I use DDTD. Am(DDTD) F(DDT) C(DDDTD)

  3. Try
    (A) DU (F) DU (C) DDU
it sounds pretty close to the original

  4. xmaisiecan'tsingx

    I found that DDU-UDU works best (1x with A and F and 2x with C) x

  5. I was wondering if anyone knew if you had to do finger picking or if you could just strum and if so does anyone know the pattern

  6. Simone de Vries

I use DDU DDU DDUUDU as a stumming pattern and it really works for me.

  7. 0 with capo on the 2nd free sounds like the song!!!

  8. i think for beginners use DU {Am} , DU {F} , D{C} {hold} at each chord.

  9. For the strumming pattern, I foundthat DDU DDU DDU DDU sounded the best. So you do Am F C C for the whole song except for the outro where the strumming pattern is just D D D D but the same notes. Hope that makes sense lol. ?

  10. At the Verse i Play a simple Finger Picking from C to e to a to e 1 on a 1 on f 2 on c
And at the Chorus and pre corus a simple DDUUDU

  11. I feel like this song is very easy it has only three chords and honestly I am pretty sure a beginner can do this I know it can be hard to switch cords like from A to C or anything like that but you will get the hang of it my strumming pattern for the whole song down up down up down Up up

  12. PizzaChunkie24

OK, I love this song, but I think its more difficult level 2 or 3. there are just 3 chords, but they are very often.

  13. Sofi’s Uke

my strum pattern is DDUD for the first two notes and the last note gets one strum, it sounds similar to the video, lmk if you use this one :)

  14. Maeve Stanley

Love this song soooooooooo much!!!!!??????❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!!! It is so AMAZING

  15. I just go with the flow and do what come naturally ar feels right at the time!!!

  16. Sampo salmela

    Paska biisi 0/5 en panis

  17. Kawaii~UkulelePlayer

I love dis song soo much

  18. I use DDUUD, but it’s the same idea

  19. My strumming pattern is DDDUD, it’s really easy and it sounds good ?

    • Ukenewbie

I’m in between UUD (A) UUD (F) UUDUDUDU (C) as the basic strumming for the song (and then varying it sometimes to go with the flow) or Starting with a Down stroke (and doing everything in the opposite direction). Would be interested in seeing what others think. If this is a good strumming pattern or not. Thanks!
