Intro: B Bmaj7 Abm Dbm Gb Gb7

B Bmaj7
Hold me close and hold me fast
The magic spells you cast
                  Dbm Gb
This is La Vie en ros-e

When you kiss me heaven sighs
And though I close my eyes
                Gbsus4 Gb7
I see La Vie en ros-e

B Bmaj7
When you press me to your heart
I'm in a world apart
a world where roses bloom

Dbm B
And when you speak angels sing from above
Dbm Gb
Everyday words seem to turn into love songs

B Bmaj7
Give your heart and soul to me
And life will always be
   Dbm Gb B
La Vie en rose

  1. glassbottle

    my sister said to comment

  2. Fairly sure it’s a Cm chord instead of C when it’s “where roses bloom”

  3. Goat Master Ukulele Bro

DD-DUUDU switch tto next not then on the D7 I just do a single downstrum and it sounds really good. Also for the song I just did single downstrums and it sounded amazing (:

  4. I think on…
A world were roses bloom….. it should be Dm7
    Instead of C

  5. I play DD-U- UDU.

  6. i_still_lived

great! now i just need to learn french :/

  7. i play it dd-uu-d and 1 time per chord

  8. thatothernerd

    I do a plucking pattern 2 3 4 3 2 then 3 and 4 together

  9. EmzUkulele

fyi +5 might be the easiest for some people

  10. For all those wondering:
In order to play Chloe Moriondo’s cover with more comfort and ease, tune down all strings by half a note. If you’re not comfortable with this, then stick with your usual tuning.

    • Crazy how good Chloe is! I would love to meet her one day. I saw her video and I was like “ I NEED TO LEARN THAT!!” And that was the first song I ever learned on the ukulele.

  11. I think playing C6 instead of Dsus4 sounds better. I’m not saying it’s more accurate, since I don’t even know the HIMYM Version. Just personal Preference.

  12. i highly recommend trying this out on +5 with a capo on fret 1, especially for higher voices. on that setting though i also toyed around with switching G and G7 where i saw fit and trying some of the Fs as Fmaj7. i find this version to be quite flexible for other notes as well if youre one to get creative. hope this helps!

  13. whats the “usual” pattern for this song,im new at ukelele and idk why im trying to play such a diff song but i want to and dont understand so much bout patterns :) hope u can help me

  14. I play DD, U DD, U DD, U
    so it’s lie:
    This is
    DD U
    la vie en ro-se
    DD U DD U DD U

  15. How would I play the part where its Am to D on “ros-e” with the ddu udu pattern? (I’m new to this)

    • i play the strumming pattern fast (2 d-d-u-u-d-u’s per chord), and that makes it pretty easy to switch between the two – you just play one set each.

      “ro-” – Am, dduudu
      “-se” – D, dduudu

    • what I do is on Am I do ddu and on D I also do ddu. I personally find it easier and think it just sounds better than trying to rush dduudu into each chord.

    • i use that pattern for the rest, and in “rose” I do dd dd.
      So: Am- dd “roo”
      D- dd “oose”

  16. I actually love this so much. It sounds amazing. The only thing I don’t like it the Dsus4 which kinda sounds weird.

  17. the_banshee

Can someone add the French lyrics??

    • nokeydope

      intro: G, G

      G Gmaj
quand il me prend dans ses bras
      il me parle tout bas
      Am D
je vois la vie en ro-se
      G Gmaj
il me dit des mots d’amour
des mots de tous les jours
      Am D
      et ca-me fait quelque cho-se
      G Gmaj
il est entre dans mon coeur
      une part de bonheur
      dont je connais la cause
      Am D
c’est lui pour moi, moi pour lui dans la vie
      Am G
il me l’a dit l’a jure pour la vie
      G Gmaj
      et des que je l’aperçois
      alors je sens en moi
      Am D G
      mon coeur qui bat

  18. I used -6 with a capo on the first fret

  19. love this

  20. BbyQueer

I found ddu udu to work fine for me

    • Actually your almost correc the strumming pattern for HIMYM is DDUUD but it also works fine with DDUUDU
