Intro: Ab Abmaj7 Fm Bbm Eb Eb7

Ab Abmaj7
Hold me close and hold me fast
                     Fm
The magic spells you cast
                  Bbm Eb
This is La Vie en ros-e

                        Eb7
When you kiss me heaven sighs
                      Eb
And though I close my eyes
                Ebsus4 Eb7
I see La Vie en ros-e

Ab Abmaj7
When you press me to your heart
                Fm
I'm in a world apart
                    Db
a world where roses bloom

Bbm Ab
And when you speak angels sing from above
Bbm Eb
Everyday words seem to turn into love songs

Ab Abmaj7
Give your heart and soul to me
                     Db
And life will always be
   Bbm Eb Ab
La Vie en rose

  3. an Emin triad E-G-B is just an inversion of a G6 G-B-E. Do you mean that you use the typical open G6, or is there some other change you’re making?

this version of the song is actually by Louis Armstrong. Edith Piaf’s has different lyrics and her’s are in French.

    • Actually Edith Piaf wrote the English version of the lyrics too, Louis Armstrong did the most famous English cover.

  11. Of course the song is Edith Piaf’s. The title would more accurately be “La Vie En Rose by Edith Piaf, Louiguy, and Marguerite Monnot as performed by Cristin Milioti.”

  12. These song is Edith Piaf’s!!!!

  13. Thank you!!!!

  14. turn the transposer to +5 for an easier version

  15. Edit: I meant to say that I use Am on “La”, Dsus2 on “vie”, D on “en”, and G on “rose”.

  16. Alternatively, I use G6 instead of Em because it’s less work and, at the end, it sounds closer to the original to play 3 chords. I use Am on “Vie” Dsus2 on “en” and D on “rose”. Hope that makes sense. c:

    • wait its hard to do Em?? no hate, its just a really easy chord for me lol I wanna see why some people think its hard.

      • It’s not that the Em chord is hard it’s just that G6 is a lot easier to transition into from Gmaj7.

    • The Em chord might not be the easiest to switch in and out off but in all honesty you don’t get better I subbing chords you get better by practicing a lot and then practicing even more! That is the key to bthe coming a great musician ?

Thank you but I think there is one other chord at the end
