Intro -x2-: Gb Db Dbsus2

Verse 1:
Gb Db
I'm not really sure if my words make sense to you
     Dbsus2
But I can't really find
Gb Db
Any other way to form these feelings into cubes
      Dbsus2
And sort them in my mind
Gb Db
The negative thoughts go on the left
      Dbsus2
The happy things on the right
Gb Db Dbsus2
And there's a little corner saved just for you

Interlude -x2-: Gb Db Dbsus2

Pre-Chorus:
Bbm Gb
Please let me know if you change your mind

'Cause inside I'm falling
    Db Ab
And I need you to pull me out of this decline
Bbm Gb
I realize how hard on you this must seem
                    Db
But trust me when I say
                          Ab
It's far, far worse for me

Chorus:
Db Gb
Please, please be here for me dear

'Cause I've never needed a friend more
    Bbm
And I can't stress enough
            Gb
How much it means to me that you're trying
    Db
And I don't mind
                     Gb
If you can't hold me like you used to
                  Bbm
'Cause I've never hated myself more
                   Gb
But this is just a bump in the road and I promise I'm trying

Interlude: Db Gb Bbm Gb

Verse 2:
Gb Db
Give me a moment to get my cards in line
         Dbsus2
'Cause I'm still trying to figure out
Gb Db Dbsus2
What kind of order I should set them out
Gb Db Dbsus2
If there was a way to explain everything without a word
Gb Db Dbsus2
I'd have a full house right now without a doubt

Pre-Chorus:
Bbm Gb
I'm trying to tear the wool from your eyes
                                Db
But a part of me wants to let you be
                                         Ab
'Cause then you wouldn't see what I've become
Bbm Gb
I'm trying to shout but no sound comes out

It's like we're in a dream state
                Db Ab
But I should've woken up, woken up by now

Chorus:
Db Gb
Please, please be here for me dear

'Cause I've never needed a friend more
    Bbm
And I can't stress enough
            Gb
How much it means to me that you're trying
    Db
And I don't mind
                     Gb
If you can't hold me like you used to
                  Bbm
'Cause I've never hated myself more
                   Gb
But this is just a bump in the road and I promise I'm trying

Outro:
Db Gb
       I promise I'm trying

Db Gbsus2 Db

Extremely confused

I am also a trans friend

definitely heterosexual

I love this song but I have a tenor uke and tiny hands so I cant play an e chord :(

micr0wav3 0v3n

If you barre the fourth fret and then put your pinky 3 frets dow on the A string, that’s another way to play E without hurting your hands :D

citagazze

maybe use e7 instead? i usually substitute that as i cant play e either!

LittleKittle

Here’s the plucking at the beginning of the song!

A——————————————
E——2—2—2—2—2—2—2—2—

G——————————————

A——4—4—4—4—2—2—2—2
E—5—5—5—5—5—5—5—5—

You can replace the first verse chords with alternating D and F#, then A and C#, then finally A and B then repeat if you want to be weird.
