Verse 1:
Eb F7
My feathers seem to have taken the brunt of the storm
         Ab Eb
They are feeling pretty worn
Eb
We finally found shelter
       F7
Tucked away inside a wall
           Ab Eb
Though for now it's pretty small

Chorus:
Ab Eb
You and me
       F7 Bb
We can make this hole our home
       Ab Eb Bb F7 Ab
We can fill it up with grass and all the things that make it warm
Ab Eb
When you leave
       F7 Bb
To go fly across the sea
        Ab
I’ll be waiting here
     Eb Bb F7
With Junior and the flowers that we’ve grown

Verse 2:
Eb
Collecting clumps of sticks and leaves
        F7
Has left me pretty tired
      Ab Eb
Can I rest with you a while?
Eb
We snuggle up between the stones
F7
Wind blows peacefully
           Ab Eb
There’s no place I’d rather be

Chorus:
Ab Eb
You and me
       F7 Bb
We can make this hole our home
       Ab Eb Bb F7 Ab
We can fill it up with grass and all the things that make it warm
Ab Eb
When you leave
       F7 Bb
To go fly across the sea
        Ab
I’ll be waiting here
     Eb Bb F7 Ab
With Junior and the flowers that we’ve grown

i can never read the intro :( can someone please explain what it means?

Anja Wiebe

That’s Tab. It is used for a simpler way to write chords. I actually forget how to read it 😅 but you can just look up “how to read ukulele tab”

tsukaretaxx

ok thank you ^•^

justpassingby

for anyone who wants to know, the riff is played like this:
(all played on the A string)

pluck 4th fret (I use my middle finger for this)

hammer on 5th fret (if you don’t know what that means, look it up) (I use my ring finger for this)

pull off the 5th fret while still holding the 4th fret (5p4)

pluck 2nd fret (I use my pointer finger for this)

pluck open string

listen the actual song for the rhythm
I hope this helps! :)

AsaCookMusic

i love this song :)))

SadukulelePlayer

I like to play with -7 transposed and instead of A7 play 0,0,1,0. (Idk what chord that is)

For the strumming I do DDUDUDUDU with an accent on the 2nd strum and the last strum.

TwentyoneVanderWaalLemonboys

I think DX UUX works really well for the chorus. And DDU udu I for everything else

Cassidy

What does the stuff at the intro mean?

TwentyoneVanderWaalLemonboys

4 hammer on 5 pull of 4 i think

SadUkePlayer

I can’t tell if you’re joking…

Lethia

strumming pattern anyone?

The Pickle

I’ve been using d-d-*tap* but im kinda a noob so I don’t know many strumming patterns

Sanne

i just use DDU UDU

a child-x no

-7 capo on first or second fret

a child-x no

+3, +5 and -7 are pretty easy in my opinion and sound nice

just some gay

Does anyone know when to use the riff?
