Intro: Am Em F G Em

Verse 1:
Am Em
Breathe the air again
Em F
It's a beautiful day
F
I wish this moment would stay
G
With the earth
     Em Am
Some primal paradise
Am Em
But there you go again
Em F
Saying everything ends
                             G
Saying you can't depend on anything
E7
Or anyone

Chorus:
Am C F
If the end of the world was near
C G Am
Where would you choose to be?
             F C G
If there was five more minutes
    E
Of air
           F
Would you panic and hide?
   C
Or run for your life?
   G F
Or stand here and spend it with me?
          C G Am
If we had five more minutes
F G Am
Would I, could I make you happy?

Verse 2:
Am Em
And we would live again
Em F
In the simplest of ways
F
Living day after day
G Em Am
Like some primal animals
Am Em
We would love again
Em F
Under glorious suns
                            G
With the freedom that comes with the truth

E7

Chorus:
Am C F
If the end of the world was near
C G Am
Where would you choose to be?
             F C G
If there was five more minutes
    E
Of air
           F
Would you panic and hide?
   C
Or run for your life?
   G F
Or stand here and spend it with me?
          C G Am
If we had five more minutes
F G Am
Would I, could I make you happy?

 Bridge:
Am Em
So it finally came to pass
Em F
I saw the end of the world
F
Saw the madness unfold
G Em Am
Like some primal burial
                       Em
And I looked back upon
     F
Armageddon
                                Em F
And the moment of truth between you and me

Interlude:
Em F Em F
Oh...

Outro:
          -nc- Am
If we had five more minutes
   F G
Of air to breathe
       C G Am
And we cried all through it
        F G
But you spend them with me
       C G Am
On our last few drags
   F G
Of air we agree
F G Am
I was, and you were, happy

for the intro and stuff i use a plucking pattern- (for beginners- i’m just including this just in case because when i taught my friend this, they didn’t know which strings i was talking about- the very bottom string (the a string) is actually the top string, and the first string. just for those who weren’t sure, i was being mindful because my friend wasn’t sure.) i pluck the third string (c string), then the first string (a string), then the second (e string). if you need a tempo or anything, listen to the song because i’m not great at… Read more »

I do agree it is easier, but whenever Em is played, it doesn’t sound like the song
