Intro:
Hey, leave a message

Verse:
E
Hey, call me back
         Dbm
When you get this
                     A
Or when you've got a minute
                 E B
We really need to talk
 E
Wait, you know what
              Dbm
Maybe just forget it
                      A
Cause by the time you get this
                    E B
Your number might be blocked

Pre-Chorus:
 Dbm E
Stay and blah blah blah
         A E B
You just want what you can't have
   Dbm E
No wait, I'll call the cops
             A E B
If you don't stop I'll call your dad

Chorus:
      A B E
And I hate to do this to you on your birthday
      Dbm Ab
Happy birthday by the way
         A B E
It's not you it's me and all that other bullxxxx
                Dbm
You know that's bullxxxx
           Ab A
Don't you, babe
             Am E
I'm not your party favor

Verse:
E Dbm
Look, now I know we could've done it better
                        A
But we can't change the weather
                          E B
And the weather's come and gone
E Dbm
Books don't make sense if you read them backwards
                      A
You'll single out the wrong words
                       E B
Like you mishear all my songs

Pre-Chorus:
         Dbm E
You hear stay and blah blah blah
         A E B
You just want what you can't have
   Dbm E
No wait, I'll call the cops
             A E B
If you don't stop I'll call your dad

Chorus:
      A B E
And I hate to do this to you on your birthday
      Dbm Ab
Happy birthday by the way
         A B E
It's not you it's me and all that other bullxxxx
                Dbm
You know that's bullxxxx
           Ab A
Don't you, babe
             Am
I'm not your party favor

instead of E i use E7 sounds good to me at least and its easier

  2. I just wanna help others! :D

I honestly prefer a capo on fret one, it makes it sound more in key.

  3. Burger King foot lettuce

ok, so here are some changes to make the song easier, and, in my opinion, sound better.
    1. replace the E chord with a B chord
    2. replace all of the chords in ‘im not your party favor’ as shown:
(Am) I’m not your (G) party favor (C)

  4. DD-U-UDU is what I play for most of the song. For the first Chorus I play the last Fm and C single down strums and let the C ring, then on C I play DD-U-UDU and the DD then U-DUDU muted. And for the second pre-Chorus I play with single down strums and start up the DD-U-UDU when it sais “no wait I’ll call the cops” if that makes any sense.

  5. If it gets too hard for you , and you can put your first finger on the first string, second string, and put your other fingers on the fourth string.
It’ll still be a little difficult, but with a little practice you’ll get it!

  6. Billie’s fan

DDUUDU and if u need it you can add 1 o 2 more DU at the end

  7. i do down down up up down up

  8. For “Im not your party favor” at the end, Instead I strum Am for “im not your”, and for “party favor” i strum G, and then I strum C (DUDUD) then i hold down the ukulele strings and strum DUDUDUD. It sounds pretty cool, and i think its easier than Fm, in my opinion.

  9. hey everyone! for the beginning, right after ‘hey, leave a message’, billie strums the muted uke and that strum pattern is DDU UDU UDUDUDU

  10. Chandler Bing

i added a c at the end and it sounded quite nice btw :)

  11. Instead of using E, I use Em… it’s much easier and it works the same!

  12. you probably just clicked on the transposer

  13. am am am c
You hear stay and blah blah blah
strum the am and pick the am then pick the first string then strum c

  14. -5

  15. Broadway_Baby

its not you its me and all of those excuses
they’re just excuses, arent they babe?

      yes? no?????

      • i think youd like it better like this:
its not you its me and all the other nonsense
you know thats nonsense dont you babe
or you could do it with rubbish (sounds british tho lol) and also with madness

      • probably late but that sounmds good

      • yea that sounds good

      • I use “It’s not you, it’s me, and all that other ‘rubbish’. You know thats ‘rubbish’, don’t you babe” and it works completely fine!

      • Theatergeek3482

        Try this:
It’s not you it’s me and all that other nonsense
        You know it’s nonsense
        don’t you babe

    • It’s not you it’s me and all that other nonesense, you know that’s nonesense, doncha babe?

  16. lelah barnett

song for me by greer! love it

  17. does anyone know the strumming pattern?

  18. wtf alk the chords changed???? i just got the other one down

  19. i use C instead of FM at the end, it sounds a lot better :)

  20. Bujicejubegcgecubc8c

I’m a beginner, and E is too hard for me, so I used F instead. Also, G is too hard for me as well, so I just skipped it, and it sounds just fine. :)
