Intro:
| Am |
| F | Am Em |
| F | Am Em |

Verse 1:
F
Thought I found a way
Am Em
Thought I found a way, out -out-
     F
But you never go away -never go away-
     Am Em
So I guess I gotta stay now

Pre-Chorus:
                 F Am Em
Oh, I hope some day I'll make it out of here
            F Am Em
Even if it takes all night or a hundred years
                 F Am Em
Need a place to hide, but I can't find one near
             F Am Em
Wanna feel alive, outside I can fight my fear

Chorus:
F
Isn't it lovely, all alone
Am Em
Heart made of glass, my mind of stone
F
Tear me to pieces, skin and bone
Am Em F
   Hello, welcome home

Verse 2:
F
Walkin' out of time
Am Em
Lookin' for a better place -lookin' for a better place-
F
Something's on my mind
Am Em
Always in my headspace

Pre-Chorus:
                 F Am Em
But I know some day I'll make it out of here
            F Am Em
Even if it takes all night or a hundred years
                 F Am Em
Need a place to hide, but I can't find one near
             F Am Em
Wanna feel alive, outside I can fight my fear

Chorus:
F
Isn't it lovely, all alone
Am Em
Heart made of glass, my mind of stone
F
Tear me to pieces, skin and bone
Am Em
   Hello, welcome home

Outro:
F Am Em
     Woah-oah, yeah-yeah, ah
F Am
Yeahhhhhhh, Oh-oh-oh-oh-ohhh-ohhh
Em
Woah, woah

F Am Em

F Am Em F
         Hello, welcome ho-o-o-o-ome

I used D instead of Bm (because it’s easier for my small hands) it sounds better

Sam Lister

Rainy Turnbull

Instead of C I used Cmaj7
It sounds SOOOOOO much better!

Maroo

True, but at some points C sounds better so Cmaj7 is good for some parts but in some transitions C is better and other parts Cmaj7 is better.

Oli Kessler

Yes!!! It does. It sounds better for any Billie Eilish song especially idontwannabeyouanymore

Kamilla =)

Okay but like im new at this stuff and seeing all you pro’s im like what the heck they are so smart and then me over here looking like an idiot. =)

Isidore

I’m sure you’ll get it soon! Good luck Kamilla

Maroo

That’s alright; I was pretty bad when I first started too.

febrezzey

i think -7 sounds the best but thats just my opiniobn

CloudCats

It seems easier as well

hellome

What are good strumming patterns to this song

emukulelia

If you want a calmer atmosphere, use just strumming down every few secs. Or, you can use down down up up down up to make it faster :)

Kwolftribe

Love this song! D sounds better and is easier than Bm 😁

charhockey44

i plucked the strings like this EGAG

Ima go to her concert

For the chorus, ‘Isn’t it lovely- all alone?’ I play Cmaj7 then just C, so I switch chords where I put the dash, but I play Cmaj7 for the rest of the song, maybe give it a go :P

Alfie

I use 4 down strums for F chord, and 2 down strums for Am and Em chords in pre-chorus. -5 key sounds more plesantly)

Idontwannabemeanymore

0’s great. Just sing it high.
