I use F and Am instead of Fmaj7 and Am7. It just sounds better to me.

I think Am7 is better since it’s a pretty low note, but F is definitely much easier and sounds great. Thank you!

i think there should be a G7 in the outro:
G G7
“tell them i love them”
try it, sounds much better

also if you want to spice it up, add an Am after the F where it says
“But I’m not sorry”
the Am is like a stepping stone from the F to the Dm, kinda like how rv said to use G after G7

for fmaj7 i went on the 5th fret and used the 2 top strings to replicate fmaj7, it sounds just fine and is easier so when youre really into the song you can transfer your fingers but without a 5 second pause lol

I swear you are a lifesaver and it sounds nicer too. I personally like the way top 3 strings sound but thank you so much my fingers would be in so much pain if it weren’t for you

for the strumming pattern i just do for the verse and outro one strum down, for the pre chorus i do UDU and for the chorus i do DDUUDU. I feel like this sounds really good!!

I love it this way I would recommend if doing it this way you do Am instead of Am7 and do F in the chorus

i can’t find the exact chords either but i’ve been playing C Am F G, plucking the 2nd string first and then playing the other three strings to create a similar beat :) hope this helps!!!

if u use a c instead of cmaj7 and then add a quick G strum before the next note it sounds more joyful- and also changing Fmaj 7 into F and Am7 into Am
