Intro: Bmaj7 Gbmaj7 Abm Gbmaj7

Verse 1:
Bmaj7
Don't be that way
      Gbmaj7
Fall apart twice a day
       Abm Gbmaj7
I just wish you could feel what you say
Bmaj7
Show, never tell
      Gbmaj7
But I know you too well
        Abm Db Dbsus4 Db
Kind of mood that you wish you could sell

Chorus:
   Bmaj7
If teardrops could be bottled
           Gbmaj7
There'd be swimming pools filled by models
            Abm Bb
Told "that tight dress is what makes you a whore"
      Bmaj7
If "I love you" was a promise
          Gbmaj7
Would you break it, if you're honest
         Abm Db Dbsus4 Db
Tell the mirror what you know she's heard before
Bmaj7 Bb Ebm

Verse 2:
Bmaj7
Hands getting cold
       Gbmaj7
Losing feeling's getting old
      Abm Gbmaj7
Was I made from a broken mold?
Bmaj7
Hurt, I can't shake
           Gbmaj7
We've made every mistake
     Abm Db Dbsus4 Db
Only you know the way that I break

Chorus:
   Bmaj7
If teardrops could be bottled
           Gbmaj7
There'd be swimming pools filled by models
            Abm Bb
Told "that tight dress is what makes you a whore"
      Bmaj7
If "I love you" was a promise
          Gbmaj7
Would you break it, if you're honest
         Abm Db
Tell the mirror what you know she's heard before

    • I AM YOUR GSUS

The strumming pattern i used was DDUDUD and it works well, at the star just down all the time until it’s says “If teardrops could be bottled”

  8. Billie Eilish Fan Girl

DDU mute works well. It starts when it goes “if I love you was a promise…” but before I just do one or two strokes

  9. @heey.mariii (on instagram)

I use this strumming pattern D – UX.

    Am(D – UX) Am(D – UX) D* Dsus4 D*
When there’s “Tell the mirror what you know she’s heard before”
At “D* Dsus4 and D*” you have to do D UD UD.

    D UD UD —-> D*(D U) Dsus4(D U) D*(D)

D UU D works really well as a pattern and in some places like half through the second time to play the chorus do D UU D X. So it’d be “If I love you was a promise..” Is where you’d start the strum pattern with the mute. And for the second part of the second verse do the same thing. So on ” Hurt I can’t shake..” Is where you’d start to add the mute in with the pattern. Also the first half of the first verse sounds good with single down strums, and then on “Show, never tell..” Begin to strum D UU D to get into a groove. Wish y’all luck. The comments have really helped me so I’m paying it forward. ❤❤❤
