Verse 1:
            Bb
They say distance is relative
                 F Gm
Relative to relatives I have

I’d say I’m relatively close
              Eb
To breaking down
               F
Because right now
            Bb
I feel so alone
             Bb
I’ve been missing the elements and
                    F Gm
Wishing the elephant in the room

Would leave and kindly close the door
           Eb
I can’t ignore
            F
Him like before
       Gm
Not anymore

Pre-Chorus:
       Eb
Oh I miss you most at
 F
Six feet apart when you’re
 Bb F
Right outside my window
           Gm F
But can't ride inside my car and it
  Eb F
Hurts to know just how lovely you are
            Bb F Gm F
And be too far away to hold but close enough to break my heart
              Eb
I miss your smile
            F
Feels like miles
           Bb
Six feet apart

Chorus:
                       Dm
So far, so far but so close
                          Eb
Like a star, out in the cosmos
                           F
Can’t touch, the beauty I see
                            Bb
That’s how, it feels at 6 feet

Verse 2:
           Bb
Space and time are interwoven

Or at least thats what we’re told
     F Gm
When I was young I was suspicious but it’s true
             Eb
Time sticks like glue
           F
I feel so blue
              Bb
Here missing you

So I think I’ll build a time machine and go back to a time
        F Gm
When we didn’t need to measure six feet on the ground
              Eb
And I came around
               F
That's not allowed
               Gm
Can’t go back now

Pre-Chorus:
     Eb
So I miss you most at
 F
Six feet apart when you’re
  Bb F
Right outside my window
           Gm F
But can't ride inside my car and it
  Eb F
Hurts to know just how lovely you are
            Bb F Gm F
And be too far away to hold but close enough to break my heart
             Eb
I miss your smile
            F
Feels like miles
           Bb
Six feet apart

Chorus:
                        Dm
So far, so far but so close
                           Eb
Like a star, out in the cosmos
                           F
Can’t touch, the beauty I see
                            Bb
That’s how, it all feels to me

                        Dm
So far, so far but so close
                           Eb
Like a star, out in the cosmos
                          F
Can’t touch, the beauty I see
                           Bb
That’s how, it feels at 6 feet

6 feet apart from the person you love the most is more painful than miles apart from anyone else. I do single down strums with tears running down my cheeks.

I hate that when this corona thing hit we were all forced to stay in our house it really hurt I was taken away from my friends and my gf everytime I listen to this song I just start crying I miss having a normal atmosphere where we could actually go outside and see our friends and tbh I would never say this but I missed school we all missed over 100 hours of education some of us barely passed school this year and a lot of people have lost their kids bc it hurt them so much they just couldnt take it anymore
